Love and More: Now That I’ve Disfigured You, Will You Marry Me?

All of the problems making headlines in the papers and the best we can come up with to comment on is this story? That's sad.

You're the only one who commented, cowboy. Sorry we couldn't offer-up more of that important stuff. Maybe you should stay away from the frivolous stuff?

Maybe we should start putting forth issues that are really important and needs discussion. I can think of half a dozen topics right off the top of my head, but you see, I don't have the privilege of posting articles on here, much as I'd like to. The best I'm allowed is comments on what's here, such as it is at times.

Cowboy, you can start your own discussions here,

As for "putting forth issues that are really important and needs discussion," I think we do a lot of that on this website. My blog, Love & More, obviously isn't your cup of tea. Lots of others on the Denver Post website, though, wallow in politics and other "important" issues.

I wouldn't say Love and More is not my cup of tea, there's just so much going on right now, with the war in Iraq and illegal immigration. I've always said, I'm a lover, not a fighter, but some times you just gotta fight. WE are loosing our nation to another invader and it's not all from without. I may just delve into this problem as a starter. Thank You for your help. Sorry if I sounded down on your blog, I guess I was sort of depressed because of all the critical issues at hand and this is what is saw first.

Cowboy, if you don't feel it is important enough to comment on, why comment at all? Perhaps if you are concerned about what is "important" you can spend some of that extra time you have volunteering and do something important to help with some of the more fixable problems.

Cowboy, I find it curious that you're so serious on political issues and view human interest stories as "poo-poo" that you would find time in your schedule to even read human interest stories; let alone comment publically on them.

Concerning both the article and the comments, I'm reminded of an old Marine Corps acronym - WAFWOT.

Cowboy, the kicker is, Love & More isn't going to delve into geopolitics, global warming, immigration, civil rights, etc. etc. That's not what this blog does. Other blogs, though, do spend a lot of time on these subjects. In fact, I'd venture that most of what happens on the whole Colorado Comments part of the Post's website wrestles with these sorts of issues. Love & More is an anomaly. I think you'll have no problem finding a good place to contribute.

I really think the Denver Post has something against me. Most of the comments I make on these blogs does not get published and even when I start my own blog, somehow it disappears and even though I posted it yesterday and it was on yesterday, I cannot find even a trace of where it is today. So, maybe it's a good thing. Nobody wants to hear about it anyway, I guess. Either that or it is such a "touchy" subject that they want it left alone. Anyway, thanks for your help and I'll try and expand my "emotional" expectations to more than personal experience. Who knows what one may find that is usefull for personal "emotional" expansion.
